Getting it going
Settle the player question up front
Tizen carries two, and they work differently, so choose now. IPTV Smarters takes a plain login and costs nothing; Smart IPTV is leaner and holds steadier on an older panel, but asks a small once-off fee and wants you to upload a MAC address. On a 2016-vintage set, Smart IPTV is the safer bet.
Find the Samsung store
Press Home, open Apps, and use the search magnifier at the top of that page.
Install and note the MAC
Install whichever you chose and open it once. If it is Smart IPTV, jot down the MAC address it flashes up straight away — you will need it in a second, by which point you will be over on your phone.
Connect it to your account
On Smarters, choose Login with Xtream Codes and put in the three values. On Smart IPTV, head to siptv.app/mylist on a phone or laptop and send your M3U link across to that MAC address.
Reopen and confirm
Close the app all the way and launch it again so the list and guide load in. Bring up a live channel and give it a minute; on the remote, the channel-list button is the quickest route through the groups once you are watching.
When the picture plays up
The app is not in the US store
Samsung stocks a different catalogue by region. Either switch the region in Settings, or fall back to IPTV Smarters, which is carried almost everywhere. We can name a working alternative if neither works out.
Smart IPTV reports the playlist expired
That is the app talking, not your subscription. Reinstalling it, or resetting the TV, wipes the stored list, so send the M3U over again at siptv.app/mylist to the same MAC address and it returns.

Can I use IPTV on a Samsung without a Firestick?
Yes. Any Samsung from 2016 on runs IPTV Smarters or Smart IPTV out of its own store, so the television is the only device in play. A stick is only worth adding for an older panel, or if you have your heart set on TiViMate, which Samsung will not carry.
Is Smart IPTV free on Samsung?
It is free for a week, then charges a small one-off activation tied to that TV. IPTV Smarters carries no such fee. Either way the app is an empty shell until a subscription sits behind it, so nothing shows before you sign in.
