Setting Up IPTV on MAG and Formuler Boxes

Infomir's MAG units and the Formuler boxes were designed for one job and no other, which is precisely why they hold a firmer picture than a repurposed stick — a real advantage on a main set that runs every night. Neither accepts an ordinary app login: a MAG works off a portal bound to its MAC address, and a Formuler goes through its MyTVOnline app, so step one is always getting that MAC to us.

What you need first

  • A MAG 3xx/4xx/5xx, or a Formuler Z8, Z10 or Z11
  • The MAC address printed under the box
  • Your IPTVMEEZZY portal URL (sent once you share the MAC)

Getting it going

  1. Send the MAC across

    You will find it on the sticker under the box and under Settings, About device. On a MAG it opens with 00:1A:79. Snap the sticker and WhatsApp us the photo, then hold until we confirm the portal is live before you go on — nothing loads before that point.

    Sort your line first

  2. MAG — key in the portal

    Settings, System settings, Servers, Portals. Name Portal 1 anything, paste in the portal address we sent, save, and reboot the box. It will not load until that reboot happens.

  3. Formuler — use MyTVOnline

    Open MyTVOnline 2 or 3, choose Add Portal, and supply the name and the portal address. Or select Xtream Codes and use the standard login. A Formuler will also run Android players such as TiViMate if that is more your speed.

  4. Reboot and confirm

    Once it comes back up, the box loads the 25,000+ channels with its own guide. Bring up a channel to check, and use the remote colour buttons for favourites and the EPG.

When the picture plays up

It shows STB blocked or a blank screen

Either the MAC has not been switched on yet, or a character came through wrong when you sent it. Send a photo of the sticker rather than retyping the address, and it nearly always clears within minutes.

Is a MAG better than a Firestick here?

On a main TV in nightly use, yes: a better remote, a quicker guide, and never a sideload to worry about. Reckon on $130 to $220 against $40 to $60 for a stick. On a bedroom set the stick is the smarter spend and no one can tell the difference.
