Getting it going
Be honest about the box first
Where IPTV is the whole reason that set is switched on, the honest advice is to plug in a Fire TV Stick and ignore everything below. If the Roku simply has to do it, keep going — casting never lets you down, and the Smarters channel obliges when it feels like it.
Search the Roku Channel Store
Press Home, go to Streaming Channels or use search, and look for IPTV Smarters Player or IPTV Player. Add it if it shows; what is stocked shifts by region and can change with no notice.
Sign in with Xtream Codes
If it did install, open it, choose the Xtream Codes option, and enter your username, password and server address as normal.
Otherwise cast from a phone or PC
Turn on Screen mirroring under Settings, System. On an Android use Cast or Smart View; on a Windows PC press Win+K. Whatever is playing on that device now shows on the Roku. The picture is fine, but that phone is out of action until you finish watching.

Can you really get IPTV on a Roku?
Only in part. With no sideloading and a listed-player line-up that keeps shifting, it is the shakiest platform going for this. Casting is the dependable backstop. If you can, move that set onto a Firestick or an Android box instead.
